The expiry date will be the end of the fourth month from the date of the pawn transaction, by reference to the Chinese Lunar calendar. The client may redeem his/her pawned object at any time before the expiry date by settling the principal and interest of the pawn transaction at the relevant pawnshop. Alternatively, the client may clear the interest first prior to/on the expiry date, and then renew the pawn contract for another four months, so on and so forth.
